Macro at Hilsea Lines

A few shots taken at the Hilsea lines in the north of Portsmouth.
Hilsea lines is a fantastic place for all types of birds and insects and I often go there and find something worthwhile or new to photograph every time. There are lots of Black-Tailed Skimmer Dragon flies around at the moment so I have placed an Image of one in this blog.

Some Dewdrops

Here are a few dewdrop shots I took early in the morning. They consist of 2 shots normally blended together, one shot to get the drop in focus and the other to get the refraction sharp.

The Micro Aquarium

Natural occurring dew with the background refracted in the drop.

Purple Daisy

A silk daisy placed behind the drop and focused in the drop.

Spiky Dew

The same silk flower place behind the drops on the weeds leaf.
